Honda Plans To Cut Carbon Emissions By 30%

If there is one automotive company that is committed to people and the environment that is Honda. They recently committed to cutting their carbon emissions by 30 percent when compared to emissions levels in 2000.

Honda Dubbed Greenest Car Manufacturer

Honda profits jumped to huge numbers during 2011, while the Japanese auto maker has received a great honor - Greenest Auto Maker. This is the 5th straight year Honda has become Greenest Automaker. Honda Testing Electric Cars

Honda announced an ambitious Electric Vehicle Testing Programs in the US and Japan earlier this month. Honda has followed up with plans, and a joint venture with Kumamoto Prefecture, to advance their Electric Vehicle Testing Program for electric vehicle testing.

Honda and Kumamoto Prefecture entered an agreement to perform these tests through March 2013. Honda has already started testing the Monpal ML200 electric cart. Additional programs will take place in Kumamoto City, Minamata City, Aso and Amakusa to help promote a "low-carbon mobility society in the future."

Honda Accord Plug-In

Honda has already dominated the hybrid market, with revolutionary additions to the auto world including Insight and the all new CR-Z Sport Hybrid. Now, the Japanese auto maker takes on all-electric. Honda Motors has recently announced the launch of their Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program.

The plug-in hybrid is "intended to be compatible with ones daily driving habits," according to the company. "The user will get the advantage of taking short, frequent trips in its all-electric mode, while also utilizing the long-distance driving capabilities when needed."

Honda Fit & Insight are KBB Top Green Cars

Honda has received many accolades in the past, but in today's world nothing shines brighter than being named the Best Green Car to hit dealership lots and customer driveways.

Honda did this twice. KBB.com, an automotive information site,  have named both the small Honda Fit and hybrid Honda Insight best on a list of Kelley Blue Book Top 10 Green Cars for 2010.

Honda CR-Z Type F Ready for SEMA

Wraptivo will be showing off their modified Honda CR-Z at the 2010 SEMA Motor Show.

Dubbed the "Type-F Concept" car their car boasts a unique exterior with matte black and carbon fiber wraps. Other goodies include a Mugen bodykit, LED daytime running lights, and Volk Racing wheels with BF Goodrich tires.

Under the hood, Wraptivo decided to kick it up a notch by adding a supercharger, a revised ECU, and a high-performance exhaust.
