2012 Brings Honda Civic Natural Gas

According to Japanese magazine Nikkei, "The decision to sell the natural gas Civic throughout the United States is in response to increased interest in green cars and fuel efficient cars." This comes out as the Japanese auto maker introduces their Civic CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) car to various dealerships including Dublin Honda in Dublin, CA.1

 

Official pricing of Honda Civic Natural Gas is a base MSRP of $26,155. The vehicle will be available for test drives at 200 dealers throughout the US, as well as vehicles coming to Canada.

Luxury SUV Production Added to Honda’s Lincoln, Alabama Facility

Despite major changes in production levels, following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, things aren't all bad for Honda. In fact, the Big H plans to sink $97 million into its Lincoln, Alabama facility to ready it for imminent luxury SUV production. Specifically, they're planning to add production of the Acura MDX.

Construction, installation, and testing of new equipment are expected to be completed in little over a year. And according to a statement by Honda to employees, production of the MDX will officially shift from Canada to the U.S. in 2013.

Honda Clarity Praised by Top Gear

British TV's Top Gear Co-host James May says The Honda FCX Clarity is "the car of the future."

 

The hybrid Honda Insight is not the only sedan by the Japanese auto maker praised for its design and eco-friendly fuel efficiency.

The all new Honda Odyssey is the safest van on the road, according to the IIHS.

 

The 2011 Honda Odyssey is the first and only minivan to earn the highest possible safety ratings from both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
