It's unfortunate that the service departments at many auto dealerships have such a bad reputation. Sometimes it's well deserved. For example, I bought my '06 Pilot at Capital Honda in San Jose, CA. My issues with them ranged from returning my car to me with stains on the interior to actual damage to my door trim from when they worked on the door. One time I found that one of their employees had a ball point pen in their back pocket and left ink stains on my leather seats! After my experiences there back in 2006 I never returned to them. At that point I wouldn't trust them to put air in my tires. So, I can understand why so many people have distrust for dealerships and use independent mechanics. I'm happy to report that not all dealerships are as sloppy and careless as Capital Honda. My wife's '09 CR-V was having issues with the A/C. My local independent mechanic found that the symptoms matched that of a Honda TSB (Technical Service Bulletin). This TSB extended the warranty on those A/C components to 7 years/100,000 miles! But, while our car was within the mileage extension it was over 7 years old. I took the car to Ken Harvey Honda in Dublin to see if our issue was the one specified in the TSB and if it was, could American Honda do anything for us even though we were beyond the age extension. They worked with American Honda and got them to agree to cover the whole repair except for a $100 deductible. Considering the replacement part alone was about $550 I was ecstatic to get this information! They also suggested a few maintenance items that should be done while they were doing the A/C work since it would reduce my labor costs. For example, they had to remove the serpentine drive belt to do this repair. This is the one and only belt that drives all of the accessories and is critical for the proper operation. So for the cost of the part I got this very important wear item replaced. With 93,000 miles on the car it was due for replacement anyway! From the time I dropped the car off to the day they called saying it was ready was only two days! Since they had to work with American Honda I was expecting this to be a much longer process. I can't give enough praise to Ken Harvey Honda's service department! From service manager Richard Lanzone to service adviser Gerry Natzel and Allan Wang who arranged for a rental car, they were all outstanding! I even got regular update calls from Gerry to keep me posted on the progress with my repair. They have restored my faith in dealerships. All I can say is if you need your Honda serviced, take it to Ken Harvey Honda in Dublin. You'll be glad you did!
Excellent sales and Finance department. No hassle; easy to work with. There was no pressure in sales and salesperson was very knowledgeable about the cars. Lots of inventory and great used cars. Everyone there was very personable and easy to talk to. Although we had a pre-approval letter their financing was a better deal. I expected to be there for several hours but the purchase process was much faster than expected. I was pleased on how clearly the financing was explained.

Lawrence is amazing! I have been test driving and at multiple dealerships over the past week. NOT ONCE Did I feel any pressure or shady car salesmen tactics. He was very honest and did his best to work with my budget. Anyone in the market for a Honda, hands down this is the best place. I will be referring my friends and family here. Purchased a new Honda Civic. Was very pleased by the helpful and friendly assistance from Will De La Cruz. He was honest and straight forward with me while helping me find the Civic with what I wanted in it. Finance was no hassle as I was in and out in just a few hours with a new car. Not once with sales or finance did I feel rushed or pressured into upgrading to a bigger car with extra features I don't want, nor did Finance push me for anything else I don't need at this time. I give fives stars to both Will De La Cruz and finance for getting me in and out with no trouble.
Great help looking for my new car from Lawrence in sales and Luis in the finance office to help me get the most for my car with some major savings! They didn't have my car in their inventory, but they were able to secure it from another dealership and transport it over for me. I've always experienced great customer service from this dealership. My previous car was a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid and they have always given great service and honest opinions about maintaining my car. Keep it up!
