Ken Harvey and the Power of Dreams
When Ken Harvey opened his small motorcycle shop back in 1954, little did he know that 50 years later his name would adorn the storefront of a Honda dealership stocking 600 cars and covering over 7 acres. But Ken wasn't thinking about that at the time. Instead, he was thinking about ways to satisfy each and every customer who walked into his store.
Ken was born in Livermore and the Harvey family roots go back into the founding days of the Tri-Valley in the 1850's.
50 years later, the motorcycles have changed to automobiles, and the showroom is a little bigger, but the focus of those working at the Ken Harvey's Dublin Honda remain the same as its' owner. If you ask an employee why they like working for the Ken Harvey organization, the answer will most likely include the warm family atmosphere and how they are able to extend it to every customer. And, in a time when large public companies are buying out one car dealership after another, Ken Harvey's Dublin Honda continues to be privately held, ensuring the family values they have been known for stay intact, along with their unwavering focus on customer satisfaction.
The Harvey family of dealerships include Dublin Nissan, Tracy Mazda and Tracy Honda.
A racer and mechanic first and foremost, Ken has held speed records at Bonneville on a Honda motorcycle, ridden for factory motorcycle teams and still is building engines and welding together cars to race with his race team. Ken's team won the Best Crew Award for SCCA Pro Racing's World Challenge series, and competed at the professional level from 1990 to 2003 full time. Ken team has pulled back from racing a full schedule and working at the track 60 days a year to build the New Dublin Honda on Dublin Blvd. Even on a limited schedule his team NN Racing won the NASA E0 class Endurance championship in 2006.
Ken is at Dublin Honda almost every day, even on weekends. Sure, he spends a lot of time with his wife Brenda and family, but this is where Ken is truly at home- among things that have engines and wheels.

Last Saturday, my wife and I were in Dublin Honda for a service check on non-dealership vehicle we were thinking of buying. One of your employees, Jimmy Bailey, was waiting in the service area with the keys and paperwork we needed, and he immediately began to make us feel welcome. He showed us the car, explained the checks that would be done, and gave us a clear timeline. He also helped us take care of the bill with no hassles. We could not wait at the dealership due to time constraints, so he called us after the service and gave us a complete verbal report on what they had found. He was a tremendous help, and went the extra mile to be sure we were fully informed. Please thank him for all his help.

I was looking for a new Honda pilot every dealership I went to no body wanted to assist us than we went to Dublin Honda and met Akrami he was one of the best sales consultant I ever dealt with in my entire car buying history.. He was very family oriented my kids liked him a lot and he helped us get a great deal. Also the Finance manager Chris Nasrat was very nice guy got us a great deal on the financing portion and gave us a great deal on a extended warranty. Akrami also gave us a great delivery on the car he fixed mine and my wifes bluetooth handsfree on the vehicle and also gave us a great explanation on how the navigation systems work. If you want to buy a new Honda or pre owned certified Honda than the best place i think is Dublin Honda and always ask for Akrami hes the best sales professional they have...
thanks....Suresh, 2010,
Hello my name is Josh I recently called Dublin Honda to inquire about a used car they had listed on craigslist. I spoke with Johnny Lopez the sales manager at Dublin Honda. He told me to come on down and that he will give us a great deal on the vehicle. So we came down couple days later and met Johnny and he introduced us to Alex A his top sales consultant. Alex showed us the Honda odyssey that we were interested in and gave us a great product presentation to me and my family. Alex did an awesome job selling the car to me and my wife. I had a great experience at Dublin Honda and I highly recommend that if your in the market for a new Honda or a used car that you should get in touch with these guys first because they are truly the best out there.

2010,
As soon as I drove up, I had the typical trepidation of going to a car dealership... I wasn't really sure what I wanted to be honest, I just know I didn't want a 2 door car anymore.
I met Jason there and instead of bombarding me with deals and offers he took me inside, offered me a cup of coffee, and we sat down for about 5 minutes to talk about what I was looking for in terms of what I already liked and what I wanted different.
The salesperson walked me over to his used car area (which was funny at first because I came to look at new cars), and just as I was about to say something he mentioned that he had an idea based on what we were talking about and took me to a couple of used cars to look at. He told me if these didn't match what I was looking for we'd head right over to the new cars as he had a couple of idea over there as well.
Anyway, the bottom line is that I wound up buy a used car there that was certified and saved me some money... I got a 4 door Honda accord that was certified, had a warranty, and after I did the math cost me about $3,500 less than a new car.
Anyway, the candid and friendly approach Jason used was a breath of fresh air, I'd definitely send me friends there if they wanted a new car.2010,
Just bought a Civic from Tito Perez at Dublin Honda last week and it was the best experience I have had! At first my wife and I were worried about getting ripped off since every dealer we had been to that day tried to put us together and were also rude. Tito was very helpful, polite and helped us get a great deal even though we were upside down on our trade in. He also introduced us to his manager Steve Bado who was also very nice. Next time we buy another car we will make sure and see Tito!

bought a 2010 Honda Civic from Dublin Honda and could not be happier. Thing is, I'd really planned on buying it elsewhere and was just stopping by Dublin to see the color I thought I wanted in person. I know this sounds uber-cheesy, but it was the service, the fact that they actually came in UNDER the price I'd been quoted elsewhere and that they had precisely the model, color, everything I wanted that I made the trek to Dublin from the Peninsula two days in a row to buy my car there.
When I called Dublin Saturday morning, knowing they had the car I wanted in stock, I was straight with them. I knew I could get the same car much closer to where I lived at a specific price. I'd done my homework and gotten two group quotes from two separate sources (Costco and my insurance), along with doing a ton of research around what a good price for a new Civic was. If Dublin could meet the lowest quote I had, or get under it, I would be happy to buy from Dublin. They came in like $59 cheaper and told us they could have the car ready to go THAT DAY. Hot damn, that's service.
What's really funny - I'd bought a Civic from Dublin in 1995. Turns out ... I ended up buying this new car from the same person I'd bought my '95 Civic from ... one Mark Burda. He recognized my name on the phone from a full 15 years ago and was happy to hear I still had my other Honda.
We had one little hiccup in the paperwork, when the APR was a good deal higher on the financing forms than what I'd negotiated over the phone. There was a tiny bit of push back, but when I made it clear that I wouldn't accept that higher rate, the paperwork was fixed and everything was just as I'd pre-negotiated.
I've had two great experiences at Dublin and would go back again for the three-peat (a term trademarked by Pat Riley for commercial use) in 15 years, you know, when it's time for a new set of wheels.2010,
I bought 2 cars from Dublin Honda in March. The salesman Rafael Terrill did not pressure us at all and made the experience very easy. We got a great deal and are very happy with the service Dublin Honda provided.
I got a flat tire on my 3 week old Honda and the sales manager Steve Bado, took care of me. He replaced the tire at no charge. I was in and out in about an hour.
They give good customer service and my wife and I highly recommend Dublin HondaBob b, 4/2010,
I was really not going to do business with Dublin Honda due to their awful reputation. But I did all of my negotiating through the internet and over the phone with Jason the internet sales guy. I sent him the emails with the quotes from other dealers. I had one super low and he told me to "buy it there's no way I can go that low." Good thing for him this was on a Tuesday and I wasn't buying til Saturday he was able to match the price.
Well I actually bought a car from Jason for the price I wanted with no dealer add-ons. The finance guy (Kesh) was equally as good. All in all this was a great car buying experience...2010,
Did my homework and got bids on my Honda Civic LX online. I worked with Tito Perez and he gave me a quote that was $800 less than anywhere else. When I arrived Tito had the car ready for me, made a copy of my license and let me take it on a test drive. We had already established a price online so when I returned we did about 10 minutes of paperwork while the car was being detailed and gassed up. The finance dept. even beat my car loan I had set up with a bank before going into the dealership. Whole process took around an hour. I would recommend going through Tito and the online dept. as he made this whole process as quick and painless as possible.
1/28/10- Had to have my alarm put into my car. Got a call from the service dept. to set up a time. I told them that I had a few minor issues with the car so they said to bring it right in. Once I arrived I worked with a service rep. named Brad. He was very nice and we went over the issue I had with the car. He was very detailed and made sure he knew exactly what I was talking about. He told me that my car would take a few days and that Dublin Honda would get me a free rental car. The car turned out to be a 2010 Prius which was pretty nice to drive around for a few days. While my car was being worked on Brad called twice to give me updates on my car. When my car was ready to be picked up the process was very easy and took about 5 minutes. Great all around service!Matthew S, 2010,
I usually come here for routine oil changes in the Express service dept. This place gets really busy, and occasionally, I have to come here 2 or 3 times, since the other times.
Free Wi Fi and coffee/tea is cool. Customer service at the express service counter is usually cool.
Comp car wash, pending the weather is nice !!! Very clean facility.NN H, 2009,
This is regarding the parts department. This place gets an A for corporate tidiness. Great model of a business as far as product presentation and customer service. As soon as I drove in, I received a warm greeting and was asked how I could be helped. I told him I needed a part for my fit and was kindly escorted to the parts department. As we walked through the lobby, I noticed a convenient and comfortable waiting room offering Wifi, coffee, and tea. The showroom was spotless, spacious, and professional. Ramon, in the parts department assisted me with my order and was very helpful and patient. He answered about a million questions that I had regarding accessories for my car. If you want great customer service and efficiency regarding your car, this is the dealership for you.

So my 2007 Honda CR-V was due for a "B" service, at 35,000 miles...
The service department people are very friendly and nice. A guy named Brad waited on me. He walked me through my different options for services (Bronze / Silver / Gold services), and gave me his recommendation. Since my car is fairly new, he didn't try to sell me the most expensive one -- which I really appreciated! I felt no pressure to spend more money than I had to.
Brad called me and left me a message on my cell phone when my car was finished. I picked it up shortly thereafter. Thanks Dublin Honda for a very positive service experience!!
Jennifer, 3/2009,
Not only is there Service Dept good, but so is their Parts Dept!!! The guy that helped Anhie T. and I was very knowledgeable regarding oil filters! Apparently, all Hondas use the same oil filter.....with the exception of the S2. Good information if you ask me!
Tip 'o the day: If you plan on changing your own oil and you own a Honda, go to their website (http://www.dublinhonda...) and print out a coupon for $5.95 oil filters (when you buy 3 or more). Then take it to their Parts Dept to save some cash!2008,
