Explore the 2021 Honda Hybrid Lineup

In 2021, Hybrid is the word on the street. A hybrid option seems to be available on every new car this year, and Honda is no exception. Honda has always been known for exceptional gas mileage, and now, with Honda’s advanced two-motor hybrid powertrains, you can expect even more miles per gallon. The new Honda Accord Hybrid and Honda CR-V Hybrid return for the 2021 model year, while the Honda Insight and Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid get some improvements and upgrades.

2021 Honda Accord Hybrid

The Honda Accord Hybrid debuted in 2020 and returns for the 2021 model year. In addition to all the things you love about the Honda Accord – great drive experience, advanced technology, premium amenities – the 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid boosts your mpg to 48 mpg* and increases torque to give you an even more exciting driving experience. Standard and premium features include:

  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Power moonroof
  • Wireless charging
  • Leather trim
  • 12-way power driver’s seat
  • Remote engine start
  • 60/40 split rear seatback
  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ with available wireless connectivity

2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid

Much like its gas-powered sibling, the new Honda CR-V Hybrid has plenty of cargo room, sleek styling and now comes with all-wheel-drive standard. The two-motor hybrid-electric drive system pumps out 212 horsepower with 232 lb.-ft. of torque, giving you even greater control on or off-road. This capable SUV boasts 40 mpg** and a range of standard and premium features:

  • Heated front seats, standard
  • Power tailgate, available with hands-free access
  • 18” alloy wheels
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
  • Automatic-dimming rearview mirror
  • Power moonroof, standard

2021 Honda Insight

The Honda Insight is a sophisticated, hybrid-only sedan at an even more attractive price tag. This gas sipping Honda gets an impressive 55 mpg*** to help you save more money. There drive modes – ECON, Sport and EV – that let you choose whether you want to drive as efficiently as possible or add a little more zoom to your acceleration. The base Honda Insight LX offers plenty of features like Bluetooth, LED headlights, Honda Sensing® safety features, and is one of the most affordable hybrids on the market. For just a little bit more, upgrade to the Insight EX or Insight Touring and enjoy elevated features, including:

  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
  • Leather-trimmed seats
  • Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor
  • Moonroof
  • Remote engine start
  • 8- or 10-speaker audio system
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • 60/40 split rear seatback

2021 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid and Honda Clarity Fuel Cell

The Honda Clarity is a little different in that it has a plug-in charger. A plug-in hybrid does not require you to charge your vehicle every time you want to drive, but it does give you the option to drive in all-electric mode. In the 2021 Honda Clarity, you can go up to 47 miles in EV mode or enjoy 110 MPGe with a 44 mpg gas-only rating†. The Clarity uses regenerative braking to “recharge” the battery every time you push on the brake pedal. As the battery gets depleted, the Clarity seamlessly switches the power source so that you never run out of juice, whether gas or electric. The new 2021 Honda Clarity comes packed with features, including:

  • Heated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Automatic-dimming rearview mirror
  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
  • 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback with center armrest
  • 8-inch touchscreen
  • 8-year battery warranty
  • Sustainable interior materials made from plant-derived bio-fabrics

The Honda Clarity also comes as the Clarity Fuel Cell that runs on hydrogen fuel. You fill up the Clarity Fuel Cell much like you would with a gas-powered vehicle, except that you visit a hydrogen fuel station. Benefits of the Clarity Fuel Cell include that it produces zero emissions and requires no downtime to charge. The catch is that hydrogen fuel stations are still up-and-coming, so you cannot find them just anywhere. There are plenty of hydrogen fuel stations in Northern California, so it makes a great option for Dublin Honda drivers!

Plus, in California, if you purchase a plug-in hybrid – like the 2021 Honda Clarity, you can also qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit§ and drive in the HOV lane‡, even when driving alone.

All 2021 Hondas come with Honda Sensing® suite of advanced safety features, which include:

  • Collision Mitigation Braking
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Road Departure Mitigation
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Blind Spot Information System
  • Cross Traffic Monitor

Whether you prefer to drive a familiar favorite like the Honda Accord Hybrid, a capable SUV like the Honda CR-V Hybrid, a stylish sedan like the Honda Insight, or want to be as emission-free as possible in the Honda Clarity, Honda has a hybrid for you.
